Job Summary

The Main Power Plant Operator plays a critical role in the efficient operation of our onboard facilities. This individual is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the main power plant, ensuring safe and effective execution of maintenance and repair activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of drills, checks and reports required by direct supervisor.
  • Continuously monitor power consumption and distribution, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
  • Assume the safety role as per station bill and emergency preparedness plan, participating in meeting activities in a proactive and constructive manner.
Requirements
  • Compliance with operational standards and procedures.
  • Daily detailed planning for all upcoming operations, with clear communications with all involved parties.

 

The Engine Room Operator will be required to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, utilizing strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Utilizing standard operating procedures, the Main Power Plant Operator will ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and functioning within established parameters.

This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
