University Research Administration Manager Position

The role of a Research Administration Manager is pivotal in advancing a university's research mission. This position oversees research administration activities within assigned colleges, ensuring compliance and enhancing research productivity.
Key Responsibilities">- Pre-Award Management: Guide Principal Investigators (PIs) in preparing and submitting grant proposals, including budgets, narratives, and compliance documentation.
- Post-Award Management: Oversee grant account setups, cost distributions, and personnel appointments on awarded projects.
- Compliance and Reporting: Facilitate the preparation and submission of internal and external reports, including progress, compliance, and financial reports.
A degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field, and 5 years of professional experience in research administration are required. Advanced knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations governing sponsored research is essential.
Competencies">Strong organizational and time management skills, exceptional attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a busy, high-volume work environment are necessary for this position.
