Job Title: Talent Manager

The successful Talent Manager will balance the needs of the business alongside consultant preferences, career goals and development needs to deliver staffing and talent management outcomes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Engage consultants on development needs and areas for training through performance management
  • Develop trusted relationships with each consultant and provide career advice resources
  • Assist consultants with employee relations issues and monitor work-life-quality
  • Collaborate with Human Capital Manager on managing the pyramid, training, onboarding and performance improvement initiatives

Project Staffing:

  • Understand project nuances and staffing needs in your area
  • Liaise with project team leaders to understand staffing requirements
  • Collect details from Partners and Practice Group TMs on projects to be staffed
  • Anticipate capacity issues and manage consultant expectations accordingly
  • Communicate staffing outcomes to consultants in an empathetic manner

Consultant Development and Performance Management:

  • Understand the performance management framework and competency model
  • Coordinate training for consultants and review all performance appraisals
  • Follow-up any issues or performance flags with project teams and managers
  • Attend and contribute to annual Career Review meetings for consultants

Data, Analysis and Reporting:

  • Review weekly utilization reports and cross-reference with systems
  • Assemble project pipeline and consultant availability reports
  • Prepare documents and exhibits for senior leadership meetings using Excel and PowerPoint
  • Assist with analyzing performance outcome results
