Litigation Counsel Brazil

This role plays a critical part in managing litigation matters for Brazil, reporting to the Litigation Counsel Lead. As part of the Global Legal Litigation Department, you will collaborate with the Americas Legal team focused on Brazil and Latin America.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle general litigation, pre-litigation claims, electoral claims, and all related matters.
  • Manage all aspects of litigation matters, including fact-finding and analysis, strategy, case management, motion practice, and arbitration or trial preparation and presentation.
  • Manage consumer and e-commerce litigation and PROCON's procedures, handling requests in accordance with applicable laws and our platform policies.
  • Supervise and partner with outside counsel to ensure that all aspects of the company's legal representation are of the highest quality.
  • Identify potential litigation or regulatory risk and counsel the business to minimize exposure.
  • Support the company's global strategy for litigation and regulatory actions.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Must have:
  • Admitted to practice as a lawyer in Brazil.
  • 5 to 7 years of post-qualifications experience specializing in litigation practice in Brazil.
  • Team player, strong people skills, and ability to engage on all levels of the organization.
  • Proven track record of working under pressure, strong attention to detail, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas of litigation practice: technology, intellectual property, consumer law, e-commerce, media (music and entertainment), data protection, electoral law, or privacy.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Bonus Qualifications
  • In-house experience, particularly in tech, digital media, media, or advertising industry.
  • Experience in matrixed, global organizations.
