Senior Technical Program Manager Job Description

This role requires a strong leader with a deep understanding of technology and exceptional program management skills to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, multi-phase projects related to regulatory initiatives across the Americas region.

About the Role

The Senior Technical Program Manager will:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, multi-phase projects;
  • Act as the primary liaison between project sponsors, senior leaders, and contributing teams;
  • Proactively identify roadblocks, manage risk mitigation efforts, and ensure timely communication of key decisions and status updates to stakeholders;
  • Track and report on project KPIs, milestones, and deliverables;
  • Champion and enforce Mastercard's project management methodologies and standards;
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven expertise in technical program and project management;
  • Strong knowledge of the Agile framework; Scrum or SAFe certification is a plus;
  • Experience with infrastructure project management, ideally with exposure to database systems;
  • Familiarity with program management methodologies; PMP or PgMP certification is desired;
  • Skilled in breaking down high-level requirements into detailed functional and non-functional requirements;
  • Confident with interface specifications, running queries, and conducting high-level technical analysis;
