**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Shop Assistant to join our team at Gyrodata, Inc. As a Shop Assistant, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and efficient shop environment, supporting our maintenance and repair operations, and ensuring the proper handling and storage of tools and equipment.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Assist the Operations Coordinator and Maintenance Technician in performing maintenance, repair, and testing of tools and equipment
  • Unload and process tools and equipment returning from the field, following established procedures
  • Assist with loading and packing of tools and equipment for client jobsites
  • Support the Warehouse Manager in maintaining inventory and asset control
  • Operate a forklift safely and efficiently
  • Perform general warehouse duties, including boxing, cleaning, labeling, and organizing

**Requirements**

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years' experience as a shop technician
  • Clean motor vehicle record
  • Commercial driver's license
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Ability to maintain inventory

**Working Conditions**

The job is performed in a shop or warehouse environment with some exposure to safety hazards. The job requires physical exertion, including sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to sixty (60) pounds, carrying, pushing, pulling, kneeling, squatting, and a range of physical motion. The job requires operation of tools, machinery, equipment, computers, and telephones.
