Reservoir Characterization Expert

Petrophysics Professionals play a vital role in the discovery and development of oil and gas reservoirs. As a Petrophysicist, you will be responsible for providing petrophysical input to integrated studies and modeling across OSS.
- Conduct comprehensive petrophysical analyses of well logs, core data, and pressure measurements to identify potential hydrocarbon-bearing formations.
- Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date regional petrophysical databases to support growth and exploration projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate petrophysical data into volumetrics and reservoir models.
- Act as a liaison between Shell Brasil and Petrophysics, interacting with JV partners and regulators to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and contribute to their implementation and dissemination.
Requirements
- Must have legal authorization to work in Brazil on a full-time basis.
- Hold a Bachelor's Degree; Master's Degree is an added advantage.
- Valid CREA certification required.
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in Petrophysics.
- Solid understanding of reservoir characterization, including uncertainty handling.
- Skilled in Petrophysical Data Acquisition & Management, with experience supporting well operations from PP perspective.
- Strong technical user with commitment to TDM best practices.
- Excellent stakeholder management, change management, and cultural awareness skills.
- Demonstrated team working, networking, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent written and spoken Portuguese & English essential.
