Job Description">Platform Operations Specialist

We are seeking an experienced platform operations specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, operating and improving AWS platform infrastructure to ensure robustness, security and scalability.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role where you will lead by example through design, coding and problem-solving. You will work closely with our backend engineering team while holding primary accountability for platform operations.

You will report directly to the CTO and work alongside the engineering and product teams to ensure reliability, scalability and performance.

This role involves managing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, observability, cost monitoring and system reliability. You will collaborate with our frontend, data engineering and product teams to align platform and backend development with business needs.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, experience with cloud infrastructure, DevOps and container orchestration. They should also have expertise in AWS services, infrastructure as code and observability stacks.

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • ">
  • 3+ years of backend engineering experience (REST/GraphQL APIs, Python or similar)
  • 2+ years of professional experience in platform operations, cloud infrastructure or DevOps
  • Real-world experience with SQL and cloud-based data systems
  • Proficiency in AWS services (ECS, EKS, RDS, Lambda, Secrets Manager etc.)
  • Infrastructure as Code expertise, with CloudFormation (primary) and Terraform (secondary)
  • Experience with container orchestration and infrastructure automation (Git, CI/CD, Docker)
  • Familiarity with observability stacks (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana or similar)
