Staff Software Engineer

Are you a software engineering professional looking for a challenging role in a dynamic environment? We are seeking an experienced Staff Software Engineer to join our team.

This position involves working closely with stakeholders to understand customer challenges and designing, testing, coding, and instrumenting new data products/systems/platforms at large complexity levels. You will also be responsible for effectively measuring and driving decisions using data, developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, and performing software development with TDD and BDD, Microservice and Vertical Slice Architectures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand customer needs.
  • Design, test, code, and implement high-quality solutions for medium/large complex problems.
  • Effectively measure and drive decisions using data.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
  • Perform software development with TDD and BDD, Microservice and Vertical Slice Architectures.
  • Support live data products/systems/platforms and promote proactive monitoring and continuous improvement.
  • Analyze existing systems and processes to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvements.
  • Mentor peers, foster continuous learning, and attract high talents from industry.
  • Lead scrum teams with agile development best practices.
  • Own complex components or systems/products/platforms.
  • Focus on continuous learning of new technologies.
  • Lead technical discussions and proactively review work from peers.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Master degree in Computer Science and 5+ years of experience in software engineering or strong equivalent experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Rich experience in designing high-quality solutions for medium/large complex problems.
  • Implementation skills using languages like Java, C#, Go lang, & Python.
  • Data processing techniques, including data pipeline/platform development, SQL, and DBs.
  • CI/CD automation and combined engineering practice and agile development.
