Senior Mechanical Engineer

Join a dynamic team of engineers to work on conceptual and basic engineering projects.

  • Develop strategic studies that require agility in evaluating alternatives, including mines, plants, railways, and ports;
  • Seek technical solutions for engineering development and the application of new tools and technologies;

  • Act as a liaison between the engineering team, consultants, and international specialists to validate and/or critique technical solutions aimed at risk mitigation, safety, CapEx reduction, and project implementation timelines;

Lead and develop conceptual and basic engineering projects, working collaboratively to ensure and maintain the flow of essential information with peer departments.

  • Review projects and technical documentation to ensure quality and compliance with deadlines;
  • Monitor and work alongside project implementation areas, capturing lessons learned to optimize future projects.

Our ideal candidate has a degree in mechanical engineering and 10 years of experience in developing and implementing large-scale industrial projects.

The successful candidate will have strong leadership, supervision, and team management skills, as well as experience in the development and implementation of large-scale industrial projects.

They will also possess knowledge of processes and technologies applied in iron, gold, and copper mining projects, experience in construction, assembly, and service contracting, proficiency in software and equipment sizing for bulk material handling and transportation, as well as heavy boilerwork calculations.

Strong communication skills and an articulate demeanor are also essential for this role.
