Chief Information Security Strategist

Job Description:

We seek a Chief Information Security Strategist to design and implement security practices, techniques, tools, systems, and policies across the organisation's estate and related ecosystems.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional academic and professional experience in security operations, threat modelling, risk management, and security architecture. They will be responsible for implementing and evolving the security operation centre, analysing and improving security architecture, evaluating and selecting new security tools and practices, and identifying and containing security threats.

The successful candidate will also contribute to open source threat intelligence initiatives, drive threat modelling and other security practices across Engineering, IS, and the organisation, develop learning and development materials, and publish blog posts and conference presentations.

  • Implement and evolve the organisation's Security Operation Centre
  • Analyse and improve the organisation's security architecture
  • Evaluate, select, and implement new security tools and practices
  • Identify, contain, and guide remediation of security threats and cyber attacks
  • Grow presence and thought leadership of the SecOps practice
  • Contribute to open source threat intelligence initiatives
  • Drive threat modelling, table top exercises, and other SecOps practices
  • Develop SecOps learning and development materials
  • Publish blog posts, whitepapers, and conference presentations

Required skills include an exceptional academic track record, undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM, previous professional experience working or leading a Security Operations Centre, deep personal motivation to be at the forefront of technology security, expertise in threat modelling and risk management frameworks, knowledge of security architecture and market-leading security tools, and experience contributing to and consuming threat intelligence feeds.
