Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Director to join our team at Core Laboratories. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our business, ensuring that we meet our financial targets and provide exceptional service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Provide strategic direction and leadership to a team of technical specialists and supervisors, ensuring that they have the necessary resources and support to achieve their goals.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee the workflow and ensure that all operations are aligned with our company's strategic direction and policies.
  • Financial Management: Ensure that financial targets, including Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), are met and that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
  • Customer Relationships: Maintain strong relationships with our customers, providing regular updates and handling their complaints and queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Business Development: Support sales and business development activities, identifying new business opportunities and developing strategies to pursue them.
  • Resource Planning: Provide input on resource planning and operational policy development, ensuring that our business is well-positioned to meet future challenges.
  • Staff Performance: Conduct staff performance reviews, assessing training and development needs and providing guidance and support to help employees achieve their full potential.
  • Administration: Ensure accurate administration of our order management system, ensuring that all customer orders are processed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Education: University degree in Business or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in the Oil Field Services or Inspection industry.
  • Leadership Skills: Advanced ability to lead, motivate and challenge others.
  • Communication Skills: Advanced communication, verbally and in writing, with all relevant audiences.
  • Financial Skills: Moderate understanding of financial statements, reporting and budgeting.
  • Computer Skills: Advanced computer skills, including MS Windows, Word, Excel and Company systems.
  • Flexibility: Ability to prioritize and plan multiple work activities, using time effectively throughout the day.
  • Confidentiality: Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Working Environment

The working environment will be primarily in an office, with minimal time spent in a laboratory or industrial setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Working hours may vary and may require evening and weekend work depending on business needs.

Additional Requirements
  • Travel: Passport required, position may travel up to 50% to other company offices and/or client locations.
  • Security Clearance: Ability to pass drug and background check requirements per local requirements and those required to access client locations.
