About This Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a credit portfolio manager. We're looking for a seasoned professional with experience in commercial and corporate lending, who can lead our Credit Support Unit to success.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing our credit portfolio, ensuring that we maintain a strong risk management position. You will work closely with our lending units and branches to implement initial remedial measures and oversee overall credit risk management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and review loan proposals from lending units using various credit tools and information, ensuring an appropriate and holistic credit risk assessment.
  • Guarantee quality and timely completion of account renewals, evaluation of prospective borrowers, and various credit requests and reports.
  • Assess credit risk ratings and classifications, and ensure strict compliance with documentation and bank policies.
  • Perform effective portfolio management, recognize potential issues, and initiate remedial management efforts for non-performing loans.
  • Ensure effective performance management of the team against set key result areas (KRAs).
  • Coordinate with Human Resource partners to ensure adequate talent is available and honed with well-thought-out career development programs.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Graduate of any business-related courses, preferably economics, accounting, or finance.
  • At least 5 years working experience in credit with focus on commercial and corporate loans.
  • People manager experience.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to meet tight deadlines.
