Animation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Animation Specialist to join our team working on Fortnite Cosmetics. The ideal candidate will have a strong emphasis on style and appeal grounded in realistic world physics, with the ability to work in Unreal Engine.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create original animations that meet high standards of quality and visual appeal.
  • Work closely with designers and developers to ensure seamless integration of animations into the game.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of animation fundamentals, including keyframe animation, motion capture, and physics-based simulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the style and feel of Fortnite's animation.
Requirements:
  • Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in keyframe animation and other forms of animation creation.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant experience in Maya and Unreal gameplay systems.
  • Good instincts for realistic and stylized motions.
  • Strong performance/acting choices.
  • Familiarity with the Unreal Engine 5 animation workflow.
  • Experience shipping at least one AAA title.
  • Experience working with Motion Capture is a plus.
