The role of a Design Evangelist is to empower app developers to create extraordinary experiences that delight customers.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Design Evangelist, you will work directly with developers to create outstanding apps for multiple Apple platforms. This involves meeting with creators (designers, developers and product managers) to offer suggestions that enhance the overall user experience of their apps.
You will also provide sound advice on a wide range of design matters including layout, typography, information architecture, iconography, gestural behaviors, animation, UX writing, accessibility and more.
In addition, you will produce design content/presentations as part of our workshop events and outreach efforts. You will help lead ideation exercises and prototype new concepts for larger evangelism wide in-house products.
Requirements- A minimum of 5 years of work experience in technology, with at least 3 years in the field of interaction, visual and/or product design for Apple platforms.
- Highly proficient with modern design, prototyping and presentation tools such as Sketch, Figma, XD, Keynote, Principle, After Effects or similar tools.
- An in-depth understanding of the Human interface guidelines and app development process.
- Hands-on experience designing for Apple platforms - iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, visionOS and/or tvOS - that have been shipped or in the making.
- Proficiency in English and Portuguese.
- Able to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Software Development, Software Design Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on experience in software engineering/app development, being able to code.
- An understanding of Apple's technology frameworks for developers.
- Effective communication skills to engage all levels of partners.
- Confirmed public speaking and presentation skills.
- Outstanding collaboration, organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels.
