Data Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Data Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable data platforms, managing internal tools and frameworks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability and scalability of our data infrastructure.

• Design, implement, and maintain the scalable data platform infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes, EMR, Redshift, Glue, etc.)
• Manage and evolve internal tools and frameworks for data ingestion and processing (e.g., Airbyte, Debezium, Airflow)
• Build and maintain secure, automated CI/CD pipelines for platform components and infrastructure-as-code
• Collaborate with DevOps and Security teams to ensure compliance, reliability, and scalability of the data platform
• Support version control, release workflows, and automation for notebooks, jobs, and tools used by data producers and consumers
• Ensure high availability and performance of core data infrastructure through observability and alerting integrations
• Guarantee data quality, lineage, and governance using tools such as dbt, and Data Catalogs
• Implement robust monitoring and observability practices for data pipelines and workflows

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, IT, or related technical field
• Proven experience designing and building large-scale data pipelines, architectures, and datasets
• Strong expertise with AWS services (EKS, EC2, EMR, RDS) and big data tools (Spark, Redshift)
• Proficiency in relational databases (preferably Postgres), advanced SQL, data modeling, and data warehousing
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD tools
• Solid background in automation and workflow orchestration (e.g., Airflow)
• Advanced programming skills in Python
• Ability to act as a reference for other engineers, guiding technical decisions, proposing scalable solutions, and promoting best practices in data engineering and DataOps
• Strong ability to work with cross-functional teams (data, infrastructure, security, product), fostering integration and alignment across areas
• Ability to understand the broader data architecture and the business impact of technical decisions, considering scalability, cost, security, and governance
• Ability to identify improvement opportunities, take initiative, and propose solutions without relying on constant direction
• Skilled at translating complex technical concepts into accessible language for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Flexibility to handle frequent changes, evolving priorities, new technologies, and high-complexity contexts
