Job Summary

Vectrus is seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Systems Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of our Windows Server operating system environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain all aspects of server administration, including Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and print queues.
  • Manage Exchange servers and Outlook Web Access (OWA) to ensure seamless email functionality.
  • Implement and manage Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS), Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM), and Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) to monitor and manage system performance.
  • Conduct file server backups and restores using VERITAS Backup Exec.
  • Maintain systems availability and perform regular maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform hardware maintenance and troubleshooting of various vendor server platforms, including Dell, HP, and SANs.
  • Maintain antivirus and security requirements in accordance with US Army standards and regulations.
  • Provide user and Microsoft Exchange account maintenance as required.
  • Establish shift schedules and perform employee appraisals, training records, and other administrative tasks.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology (IT) or related field.
  • IAT Level II certification.
  • Extensive experience with Windows Server operating system environment.
  • Expertise in server administration, Exchange management, and system monitoring.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Cisco CCNA Security and CCNP Security certifications.
  • CompTIA CASP+ ce: Advanced Security Practitioner and CySA+ ce: Cybersecurity Analyst certifications.
  • GIAC GCED: Certified Enterprise Defender and GCIH: Certified Incident Handler certifications.
  • ISACA CISA: Certified Information Systems Auditor and ISC2 CISSP (or Associate): Certified Information Systems Security Professional certifications.
