We are seeking a detail-oriented accounting assistant to support our team in managing the daily financial operations of multiple small business clients. This role is hands-on and focused on the essential behind-the-scenes work including reconciliations, data entry, and record keeping that keeps client accounts accurate and up-to-date.
The ideal candidate has at least one year of accounting experience, thrives in a fast-paced environment with multiple clients, and is eager to handle both routine accounting tasks and administrative support with accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities:- Enter financial transactions by accurately posting details of business transactions (funds received, disbursed, expenses) into accounting software and ledgers
- Manage accounts payable (AP) by tracking invoices, processing payments to vendors, and maintaining balance sheets related to loans and credit balances
- Manage accounts receivable (AR) by generating invoices and tracking payments
- Prepare bank deposits by organizing cash and checks and preparing them for deposits at the bank
- Reconcile accounts by comparing account statements (bank statements, credit card statements) with the general ledger to identify and resolve discrepancies
- 1 year+ of QuickBooks Online (QBO) and/or bookkeeping experience
- Experience with any of the following tools/platforms: QuickBooks, QBO, Microsoft Office
- Accounting experience with in-home care businesses a plus
- Advanced level of English
