Strategic SAP OTC Solution Architect

Job Summary:

This is a leadership role that requires effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, business units and IT teams to design and implement tailored SAP SD/OTC solutions that align with enterprise templates and strategic objectives.

  • Deliver SAP SD/OTC solutions aligned to enterprise templates and business objectives.
  • Offer expert guidance to SAP SD/OTC support teams and integration partners.
  • Analyze, document, and revise business processes and system logic as needed.
  • Collaborate with business partners to understand operations and benchmark best practices.
  • Design business processes that support Caterpillar's strategic goals.
  • Lead and drive complex solution implementations and provide project leadership.

As an advisor and consultant, the Solution Lead will also support groups in achieving quality improvements as specified by key performance measures.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and configure pricing procedures, including condition tables and types.
  2. Demonstrate expertise in OTC processes and related business functions.
  3. Identify opportunities, assess risks, and ensure alignment with strategic outcomes.
  4. Build strong stakeholder relationships through effective communication and leadership.
  5. Create high-level test plans to ensure quality and efficiency.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Planning: Tactical, Strategic - Extensive knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
  • Analytical Thinking - Expert knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
  • Architecture Modeling - Working knowledge of Architecture Modeling; ability to develop and modify enterprise architecture through conceptual, logical and physical approaches.

Additionally, the successful candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively in a collaborative environment and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
