As a senior underwriter for energy property, your primary responsibility will be to expand and manage the portfolio of power and utilities, oil and gas downstream and midstream, petrochemicals, and mining in Brazil.

About the Role:
  • Growing business and maintaining strong relationships with clients and brokers
  • Analyzing coverage, exposures, wordings, premiums, and insurability of energy risks (oil & gas facilities, petrochemicals, pipelines, mines, power plants)
  • Developing strategic relationships with brokers and clients to ensure proper documentation and grow business
  • Coordinating cross-selling opportunities within corporate solutions
  • Participating in special projects and contributing to team operations
  • Ensuring thorough documentation and clear communication with clients and brokers

The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in property energy underwriting, excellent analytical skills, and fluency in English (written and spoken).

They should possess strong insurance/reinsurance knowledge and negotiation skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

A highly motivated individual with an entrepreneurial mindset is required to convert customer needs into deals (traditional and non-traditional/alternative solutions).
