As a senior Android developer, you will be part of a Toronto-based agency that specializes in creating high-performing campaigns and digital products.
We are seeking an experienced Android developer to join our distributed team of developers and architects.
- You will design and develop native mobile applications for Android using Kotlin and modern development practices
- You will work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
- You will develop unit tests and automate testing frameworks to ensure code quality and reliability
- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications is an asset
This role will directly support a major automaker, providing opportunities to shape the development of their digital platform.
ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and developing native mobile applications for Android
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive project success
- Maintaining and improving existing applications
- Identifying areas for process improvement and implementing changes
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Android development, including experience with Kotlin and RESTful APIs.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in Android development
- Proficiency in Kotlin and experience with RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
