Job Description

We are seeking an experienced engineer to work independently on various projects, contributing to the entire design process from preliminary assessments to problem resolution.

This role involves breaking down complex challenges into manageable tasks, working closely with clients and vendors to ensure design intent is met.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of plumbing and fire protection systems, including sanitary and vent systems, storm systems, and process waste systems.

  • Assign and review project design team work.
  • Monitor progress and alert management to changes in scope or additional services.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and assist in evaluating commercial proposals.

The selected engineer will be responsible for developing design concepts, preparing documents during the design development phase, correcting and updating design documents, and developing solutions to design problems.

Able to use computer-aided design technologies to develop sketches, drawings, and construction documents. Reviewing documents to ensure compliance with company standards.

Frequent communication with clients to secure design intent and ensure quality standards. Coordinating all aspects of project document completion within the company and externally.

Collaborating with related engineering disciplines to ensure successful project execution. Attending job and construction meetings to coordinate work.

Required Skills and Qualifications

10+ years of experience in plumbing and fire protection engineering and design. Bachelor of Engineering degree from an accredited university. Registered Professional Engineer (PE).

Proficient in CAD operations and knowledgeable about all aspects of plumbing and fire protection systems. Able to produce calculations for these systems.

Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and time management abilities. Ability to travel up to 25%. Fluency in English mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in process industries, particularly in the Life Sciences sector. Strong understanding of international codes and standards.
