Job Summary
The United Nations is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Management and Sustainability Consultant to join our team. As a Consultant, you will be responsible for producing an analysis of Environmental Management and Sustainability in the Municipality of Juiz de Fora, Brazil, based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), the New Urban Agenda (NUA), the Public Policy Observatory of Juiz de Fora, and other good practices from Brazil and around the world.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a comprehensive analysis of Environmental Management and Sustainability in the Municipality of Juiz de Fora, Brazil.
- Develop a report on the current state of Environmental Management and Sustainability in the Municipality, highlighting areas of strength and weakness.
- Assess the applicability of the Observatory's data and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with the operational and technical teams of UN-Habitat offices in Juiz de Fora and Rio de Janeiro to ensure the successful implementation of the project.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Environmental Management, Sustainability, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in Environmental Management and Sustainability, preferably in a consulting or research role.
- Excellent analytical and writing skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports and presentations.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
