Medical Science Liaison Role

As a field-based scientific expert, you will develop and maintain peer-to-peer relationships with medical experts and healthcare professionals to support the company's therapeutic area.

This role requires collaboration with physicians and other medical experts to ensure they have the most up-to-date information as clinical development programs mature.

Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining peer-to-peer collaborations, providing scientific support for pre-launch initiatives, and serving as a resource for education and dissemination of pertinent medical-scientific information.

  • Develop strategic partnerships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in the therapeutic area.
  • Provide scientific expertise to support trial enrollment, protocol training, and health care professional engagement.
  • Contribute to evidence generation, medical education, and cross-functional support through tactical delivery of programs and internal/external communication.
  • Support site identification, trial recruitment, registry, and presentation of final approved data.
  • Collaborate with physicians on medical affairs initiatives including publications, advisory boards, medical education opportunities, training, and speaker development.
  • Serve as a scientific resource to external disease experts and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a medical-related discipline or advanced degree preferred.
  • 12 years of professional experience with at least 5 years in Medical Affairs or Medical Science roles.
  • Robust clinical development experience supporting rare diseases; endocrinology disease experience preferred.
  • MSL and/or strong scientific experience in endocrinology, specifically growth hormone-related disorders preferred.
  • Pre-launch experience highly beneficial.
  • Excellent written, oral, communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well across teams, communicate relevant insights, and drive strategy.

Travel Requirements

Up to 70% travel across the region, including nights/weekends.
