As a Senior Process Engineer, you will play a key role in driving the company's business success by preparing offers and providing sales support. This position involves working with customers to understand their objectives and needs, applying our products, systems, technologies, services, and solutions accordingly.

The primary responsibilities of this position include developing technical solutions, preparing equipment and project budgets, and creating technical proposals for clients. Additionally, you will participate in commercial discussions, support the sales team, and assist with project execution activities as needed.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Presenting and discussing technical solutions with internal and external clients;
  • Developing process designs, layouts, and technical offers;
  • Creating lists of necessary equipment to request quotes from suppliers and other entities;
  • Requesting quotations and composing project solutions;
  • Working on project pricing by carrying out calculations and filling in cost formation templates (advanced knowledge of Excel is desirable);
  • Creating preliminary execution schedules;
  • Assessing sales leads and discussing them with the process/application engineering department;
  • Completing technical questionnaires (if applicable) to discuss leads with the group's Competence Centers;
  • Evaluating received bids (RFPs, RFQs, tenders) with support from the application engineering team for technical issues;
  • Executing technical visits to gather data for offer preparation;
  • Participating in technical solution discussions with the GEA Competence Center and requesting relevant technical calculations, sizing, and information as applicable;
  • Coordinating technical team discussions to define P&IDs and layouts while considering client demands (knowledge of CAD and VISIO is desirable);
  • Developing preliminary sales schedules in alignment with the execution team (knowledge of MS Project is desirable);
  • Preparing risk analysis and mitigation plans, identifying opportunities;
  • Collaborating with the Sales department to prepare documentation for the Handover Meeting;
  • Reviewing and updating documentation and related materials after receiving the client's purchase order (purchase order, sales order, contract, proposals, CRM, among others). Actively participating in understanding and internal transfer of the client's installation standards, philosophies, and other relevant information;
  • Analyzing client feedback, identifying possible Change Orders, and working with the Project Manager;
  • Managing leads and opportunities (knowledge of CRM is desirable);

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Masters Degree in Food, Chemical, Production Engineering or correlated areas;
  • Proven experience in Beverage / Food Industries and/or equipment and projects companies for this segment;
  • In-depth knowledge of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics required;
  • Desirable experience in selling industrial equipment and preparing budgets;
  • Advanced English required;
  • Spanish is a plus.
