As a German Game Tester, you will play a crucial role within our Localization Quality Assurance team, being among the first to experience the fully localized game, including translated text, images, and the complete user interface. You will engage with the project as the end users will, ensuring a seamless gaming experience.
Your Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a diverse project team comprising colleagues from various countries.
- Identify and rectify spelling, grammar, punctuation, and other language-related errors.
- Ensure compliance with console manufacturer guidelines.
- Document errors and issues discovered, offering constructive suggestions for enhancements.
- Verify the accuracy of translations in context and maintain consistency in terminology and imagery.
- Detect missing or incorrect content and ensure proper formatting for dates, calendars, and characters.
- Compile reports on identified errors and bugs, as well as perform ad hoc translations.
- Oversee the quality of your contributions, fostering collaboration and supporting the overall success of projects.
Our Localization QA team conducts language assessments on a variety of unreleased games across multiple platforms, including PC, Xbox One, PS5, Wii, PS Vita, DS, Switch, VR, and various mobile devices. As a German Game Tester, you will work on leading gaming titles for some of the most prominent publishers in the industry.
Qualifications:
- Fluency in German and English.
- Strong cultural insight into the German language.
- Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Excel.
- Excellent internet research capabilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Prior experience with various software, applications, and websites.
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate within project teams.
- Eligibility to provide proof of Right to Work in the country of application.
- Access to a mobile or tablet device with at least Android 9 or iOS 15 or newer.
Studio Working Criteria:
- Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the studio.
- Willingness to travel to the studio as required, unless working fully remotely.
