Freight Management Analyst

Overview of the Role:
A Logistics Operations Specialist at Amazon plays a pivotal role in the Network Operations Center (NOC), which serves as the central hub for managing 'Transportation Execution' throughout the Amazon Supply Chain network. This position supports various regions, ensuring seamless operations across multiple geographies.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Logistics Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for facilitating communication among various stakeholders, including carriers, vendors, and fulfillment centers. Your primary focus will be on:

• Ensuring timely pick-up and delivery of freight, addressing any potential disruptions during the process.
• Monitoring inbound operations to maintain effective relationships with vendors and carriers, ensuring freight is collected and delivered as scheduled.
• Overseeing outbound operations to guarantee that freight departs from fulfillment centers on time, meeting customer delivery commitments.
• Utilizing internal tools to research and resolve issues in real-time, ensuring a smooth flow of operations.

Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, capable of identifying trends and driving improvements in customer experience without compromising on efficiency. You should have a foundational understanding of logistics and be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field such as computer science, engineering, or statistics.
• Proficiency in Excel and excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SQL and a background in logistics.
• Familiarity with lean/six sigma methodologies is advantageous.
