Job DescriptionThe role of Senior Counsel, Brazil & LATAM is to provide strategic legal support to the company's international businesses in Brazil and throughout the rest of LATAM, including Puerto Rico. As a key legal business partner, this position will serve as the primary advisor and negotiator of all legal matters throughout the region.
This individual will develop and execute legal strategies to support the company's commercial growth objectives, manage all legal affairs across the region, and provide legal advice and counseling on various commercial and corporate matters. Key responsibilities include:
- Serving as a strategic legal business partner to the GM of Brazil and LATAM
- Managing all legal affairs throughout Brazil and LATAM
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts
- Developing templates, guidelines, and training materials to empower clients with self-service tools
This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to operate autonomously while working collaboratively with other members of an interdisciplinary legal team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of providing high-quality work products under tight deadlines, balancing competing priorities, and demonstrating passion for learning and self-improvement.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, the Senior Counsel must possess:
- Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
- A demonstrated ability to operate autonomously and collaborate effectively with internal clients at all relevant levels within the company
