Job Title: CICS Transaction Server Systems Professional

Candidates should have in-depth knowledge of CICS Transaction Server system internals, encompassing storage protection, transaction isolation, and RENTPGM security.

Main responsibilities include designing, configuring, and upgrading CICS Transaction Server regions. Furthermore, they must demonstrate expertise with inter-region communication methods such as MRO and ISC.

The ideal candidate should also possess experience with installing and supporting third-party products running within CICS, restoring services, and resolving problems through thorough troubleshooting and corrective/preventive actions.

They will be responsible for coordinating multiple technical resources and teams, managing concurrent projects, and meeting deadlines and milestones.

A self-motivated individual having the ability to work independently and collaboratively is required. Familiarity with standard MVS tools and exposure to security packages (ACF2, RACF, and/or Top Secret) are highly desirable.

Knowledge of Disaster Recovery strategies (backup and restore, DR plan creation and maintenance) and IBM Assembler language skills are also beneficial.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with IBM Assembler language and Disaster Recovery strategies is an advantage.
