Compliance Manager

We are a fast-growing global organisation servicing the insurance markets of Lloyd's, Europe and North America. Our Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) is looking for a new Compliance Manager to assist in the development and implementation of our compliance programme across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Working closely with the CCO in the implementation of our compliance plans.
  • Managing other compliance team members.
  • Staying up to date with all regulatory developments and preparing assessments for review by the CCO on any changes in the legal and regulatory environment.
  • Monitoring and reviewing our System of Governance and the risk carriers within the organisation.
  • Reviewing on an ongoing basis our policies and procedures and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Assisting the CCO in the preparation of compliance reports.
  • Providing technical assistance on the implementation of the Sanctions and AML/CFT framework.
  • Developing and delivering training programs on compliance-related matters and ensuring that training courses uploaded on our learning management system are completed and functioning as intended.
  • Dealing with compliance enquiries from staff and external parties.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3+ years compliance experience, preferably in insurance/reinsurance.
  • Degree or professional qualification of a similar standing in insurance, compliance, business or law.
  • Self-driven and able to follow through all tasks and projects to completion independently, and also to take direction and full ownership of the responsibilities assigned.
  • High standard of work ethic, always ensuring to complete all tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Good stakeholder management skills, and the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships across the organisation.
  • Great planning and organisational skills. Able to manage own time alongside a busy and diverse workload and constantly prioritise deliverables.
  • Ability and flexibility to work with cross functional teams across multiple geographies.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Contributing positively to our culture and values.
