Job Title: Risk Specialist

Job Description:

Credit risk management is a critical function within the Enterprise Risk Management framework. As a centralized team, our primary responsibility is to set limits and provide credit approvals for single name credit risk. We analyze industry, sovereign, and settlement risk to optimize the bank's appetite for investment.

The Credit Risk team enables the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to strengthen control over the bank's credit risk. We provide deep technical expertise to the business aligned risk functions and facilitate strategic decision-making to improve overall use of the bank's capital.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Analyze credit quality of corporate and financial institutional portfolios in Brazil, with a focus on large corporates and selective 2nd tier.
  2. Approve transactions with credit risks, including loans, derivatives, and guarantees.
  3. Negotiate credit terms for derivative and loan documentation.
  4. Ensure adherence to local and global regulatory requirements.
  5. Monitor credit quality of portfolio and represent Credit in Brazil Risk Committee.
  6. Provide information and active discussion with auditors.
  7. Comply with applicable credit regulations and fulfill obligations towards supervisory authorities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent English language skills (written and spoken).
  • 5-9 years of experience in derivatives and financial institutions or corporate analysis in Brazil.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work as a team player.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
