About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our team of engineers in building scalable and robust systems for grocery delivery. As a leader, you will be responsible for mentoring and managing a high-performing team, collaborating with product managers and data scientists to drive product vision and roadmap, and influencing cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that span multiple teams.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of engineers in designing and developing high-scale systems for grocery delivery.
- Collaborate with product managers and data scientists to identify and prioritize product features and technical requirements.
- Mentor and develop engineers to build a strong culture of quality, handle conflicts well, and build consensus.
- Work closely with infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of systems.
- Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain top engineering talent.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering field (e.g. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology etc.).
- Strong ability to architect and design robust, high-scale systems and to challenge engineers to think bigger and more generically in developing their solutions.
- Experience working with multi-functional, globally distributed teams to coordinate work and deliver solutions that span multiple teams.
- Collaboration with PMs, designers, data scientists and infrastructure teams to identify, prioritize and solve problems.
- Track record of managing, recruiting, and retaining strong engineering talent and growing effective teams.
