Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Tire Compounder to join our team. As a key member of the Product Lifecycle Optimization team, you will be responsible for identifying and industrializing new material technologies for our product lines.

You will work closely with cross-functional product design teams and production to establish performance and manufacturability targets for tires and tire components. Your role may also involve developing and directing external collaborations, and projects will often be conducted on a global basis.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in understanding structure/property relationships in materials, with a focus on commercial tire compounds. You will be required to develop and maintain these compounds for optimal performance while considering cost and environmental factors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing laboratory studies to evaluate material technologies, and interpreting the results based on the underlying chemistry and physics of the materials being studied.
  • Designing experiments to evaluate material properties, and analyzing the results to inform development decisions.
  • Collaborating with design teams, customers, and manufacturing to ensure successful development and technology transfer.
