Associate Dean of Dentistry

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Associate Dean of Dentistry to join our team at the American University of Iraq—Baghdad (AUIB). As a key member of our College of Dentistry, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of dental education and research in Iraq.
Key Responsibilities- Recruit and retain clinical faculty and staff, promoting their professional development and growth.
- Develop and implement the clinical component of our curriculum, ensuring it meets the highest standards of academic excellence.
- Establish and lead clinical continuing education and post-graduate programs, enhancing the skills of practicing dentists.
- Oversee accreditation and regulatory affairs, ensuring compliance with professional standards.
- Establish and maintain academic quality assurance systems, driving programmatic accreditation.
- Represent the College at university, professional, and governmental meetings, fostering partnerships and collaborations.
- Develop and maintain practice and training facilities, promoting research and scholarly activity.
- DDS, DMD, or Ph.D. in Dentistry from an accredited institution.
- At least 10 years of leadership experience in academic institutions or universities.
- Evidence of academic and research innovations, with a track record of scholarly and professional practice leadership.
- Demonstrated success in enhancing patient care, education, and research programs.
- Ability to secure private, corporate, and governmental support to advance the college's mission.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external constituents.
