Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Support Specialist to join our team and provide top-notch support to customers utilizing Ubuntu and open-source products.

This role requires investigating customer issues, resolving complex problems related to Canonical's portfolio of products, and ensuring each support case is handled in accordance with our Service Level Agreement (SLA) while maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will engage directly with customers and collaborate through phone, ticketing system, and remote sessions to resolve their concerns. Additionally, they will participate in a regular weekend working rotation and contribute new knowledge base articles and maintain existing ones, ensuring shared knowledge and lessons learned are available to customers.

To succeed in this position, we are looking for individuals with:

  • Exceptional written and spoken English skills along with excellent presentation abilities
  • A strong academic record from both high school and university
  • An undergraduate degree in a technical field or a compelling narrative about their alternative chosen path
  • A track record of exceeding expectations to achieve outstanding results

The successful candidate should possess:

  • Hands-on experience in supporting Linux systems including 3 or more of: Virtualization / Cloud, Containers, Storage technologies, Networking
  • Proficiency in cloud computing, specifically in provisioning, monitoring, orchestration, etc.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills, including Linux integration with other environments, navigating stack traces and logs, and advising on next steps
  • Fundamental programming knowledge in any language
  • Extensive customer support experience, prioritizing customer needs, communicating professionally, empathetically, clearly, and setting the right expectations
