This is a challenging role within our organization, focusing on designing subsea mechanical and hydraulic connectors.

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced professional to develop innovative solutions for subsea connection systems, collaborating with colleagues and external partners.

Responsibilities
  • Develop designs of subsea components in line with industry standards.
  • Arrange design reviews, providing documentation on manufacturing, assembly, testing and installation of designed items.
  • Know design methodologies and practices of subsea components, with a focus on connectors.
  • Apply main industry standards for subsea oil & gas industry, including ISO, API, ASME, NACE, DNVGL, NORSOK, EUROCODE.
  • Prepare and manage engineering tasks aimed at releasing engineering parts, drawings and documentation.
  • Partner with peers and other functions to meet overall Company goals in terms of quality, timely delivery.
  • Ensure support during Test and Assembly activities.
  • Own design reviews of assigned scope, including materials, manufacturing and product safety/environmental reviews.
Requirements
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field.
  • Proficiency in communicating with Customers in both Portuguese and English language.
  • Experience within the oil & gas industry, preferably with direct exposure to subsea equipment.
  • Experience with Teamcenter, CREO, Office suite is desired, but not mandatory.
  • Expertise developed on design of subsea connection systems.
  • Ability to work autonomously and comfortably within a global multicultural environment.
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Team player attitude and inclusiveness, combined with good communication skills.
  • Ability of coordinating internal and/or external contributors towards expected outcomes.
