Accounting Operations Specialist

 

  • This is a key opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to join our finance team and drive operational excellence in the Latin American region.
  • The ideal candidate will be proactive, confident, and solution-oriented, with a broad set of work experiences within a finance organization, and will provide a strong voice to represent finance throughout the controllership to arrive at solutions that all cross-functional groups will find reasonable.

 

As an Accounting Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and completeness of accounting and financial reporting for the legal entities in the Latin American region. You will play a key role in re-engineering processes to drive improvement, identifying actionable insights, and driving cross-functional process improvements including internal and external financial reporting, regulatory compliance, internal controls, and system integration in the region.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the formulation of the Country Controlling strategy for the region to align with business needs and corporate strategy.
  • Perform monthly detailed reviews of the regional financial statements to ensure alignment with corporate reporting and local accounting GAAP reporting requirements.
  • Perform month-end close for the regional entities to ensure accurate US GAAP and company policy compliant financial statements, including reviewing monthly transactions, account reconciliations, and balance sheet and income statements for reasonableness.

 

Requirements:
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in an international reporting environment is required, with working experience in high tech companies and prior Big 4 accounting firm experience being a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance - equivalent certification being a plus.
  • In-depth expertise, excellent working ability, and knowledge of local GAAP accounting principles, regulatory compliance, and reporting requirements.
  • Hands-on experience managing the accounting and financial reporting processes for international operations in the Latin American region.
