New Era Technology is seeking a skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team. As a Desktop Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing top-notch IT infrastructure field support to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide IT infrastructure field support to clients, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and operating system issues.
- Install and troubleshoot hardware issues for laptops, desktops, printers, and accessories.
- Perform smart and physical assistance activities under instruction, including lifting and moving computer equipment weighing up to 50Lbs.
- Assist with conference room A/V equipment and VOIP phone configuration and troubleshooting.
- Provide smart hand support for peripheral and networking hardware, including monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, fax machines, scanners, routers, wireless routers, switches, firewalls, racks, cabinets, and multi-port data termination panels.
- Install and troubleshoot operating systems (Win 7/ Win 10 / MAC / Linux) and experience with anti-spyware and anti-virus software.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and RDP working principles.
- Basic understanding of mobile device management systems, data backups, VDI, SCCM / Lan Desk / Altris, and Apple machines/mobile devices.
- Contribute to creating knowledge base articles and ensure all service requests and incidents are addressed within stipulated SLA timelines.
- Three to four (3-4) years' experience providing IT infrastructure field support.
- Good customer management skills and ability to interact and work with customers at different levels.
- Self-driven and result-oriented with a passion for the work.
- Ability to work with deadlines and complete tasks on time.
- Associate degree in Electronics or CompTIA A+ Certification.
- Knowledge and experience of ticketing tools (ServiceNow / Remedy etc.).
- Desktop Administration experience.
- Mac Administration experience.
- ServiceNow Ticketing System experience.
- Active Directory experience.
- ITIL experience.
This is a contract position with a monthly salary of R$6,000.00.
