We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join our organization. In this pivotal role, you will be the primary legal advisor on all employment law matters, working closely with leadership and human resources teams to ensure compliance, foster positive labor relations, and champion best practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert counsel on Brazilian employment law, regulations, and labor practices.
- Advise business leaders and HR teams on workforce strategy, policies, and procedures.
- Lead collective bargaining negotiations with labor unions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and local legislation.
- Draft, review, and update employment contracts, policies, and employee documentation.
- Develop and deliver training for management on labor law compliance and collective bargaining strategies.
- Monitor and interpret changes in labor legislation, proactively advising on potential impacts and strategic responses.
- Manage employment-related disputes, grievances, and disciplinary actions, minimizing risk for the organization.
- Collaborate with global legal teams to implement company-wide initiatives and harmonize labor practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Law; postgraduate specialization in Employment Law or Labor Relations is highly desirable.
- Admitted to practice law in Brazil.
- Strong experience focused exclusively on employment law, preferably within a multinational or technology-driven environment.
- Proven track record in leading collective bargaining negotiations and union relations.
- Strong knowledge of Brazilian labor legislation, jurisprudence, and regulatory landscape.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in Portuguese; professional proficiency in English is required.
- Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively across diverse teams.
