About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Applied Scientist to join our team in São Paulo. As an Applied Scientist, you will be responsible for executing the entire model development lifecycle, from prototype to delivery, while applying best practices for reproducible research and well-managed software delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Experiment and Develop: You will design and implement innovative solutions using state-of-the-art information retrieval, natural language processing, and generative AI.
  • Collaborate: You will work closely with product and domain experts to identify compelling solutions at the intersection of user need and technical feasibility.
  • Deliver: You will be accountable for timely, well-managed deliverables.
  • Innovate: You will be empowered to try new approaches and learn new technologies.
  • Communicate: You will be a proactive communicator who is excited to share your work with both technical and non-technical audiences.
About You

You're a fit for this role if your background includes:

  • PhD in a relevant discipline or Master's plus a comparable level of experience.
  • At least one year industry experience building IR/NLP/ML systems.
  • Solid software engineering skills for prototyping.
  • Outstanding communication and data analysis skills.
