About the Role:

Sr Financial Business Partner is a key position at Bayer, responsible for supporting Site Leadership Team and providing financial data to support decision-making and strategy for the site and region.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics, with robust experience in financial management, production accounting, or business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting Site Leadership Team in recommending alternative approaches to improving unit's productivity and overall profitability;
  • Co-piloting strategic business decisions leading Forecast, Budget, and SBP Process;
  • Finance Management and Local Steering through Clear Communication;
  • Development and Tracking Financial Key Performance Indicators;
  • Efficient management of inventory supporting near-term and future sales opportunities while minimizing obsolescence risk;
  • Investment analytics and financial proposals allowing for faster decisions on business opportunities to deliver strategies;
  • Establishing a culture of ownership and compliance (ICS Standards);
  • Developing Finance Business Education and Training;
  • Managing Structured Financial Analysis | Variances | Optimization;
  • Managing Full Adoption to Bayer Management Accounting (BMA);
  • Co-ordinating TSOC & NSC actual analysis and site performance;
  • Preparing cost & FTE planning & performing regular deviation analysis;
  • Fixed Assets and Accounting related activities;
  • Local Guest analysis for Budget and forecast activities;
  • Co-ordinating regular reporting of site performance (Regional Reports // Site Dashboards);
  • Ensuring continuous improvement and standardization of processes // Projects analysis.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics;
  • DSO principles adherence and Business Partner Focus;
  • Robust experience in financial management, production accounting, or business;
  • Result orientation & ability to work at a detailed level while maintaining the overall business vision;
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, to negotiate, to provide value-adding cost guidance;
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Exceptional organizational, presentation, and communication skills;
  • Ability to interact with top management in coordinating financial activities, as well as the ability to analyze and interpret financial data or operating problems in order to make recommendations to management;
  • Ability to work successfully with people from a variety of different cultures and backgrounds;
  • Enthusiastic of digital experience and focused on innovation;
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and Portuguese (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Business Administration or equivalent studies in controlling or management will be a differential;
  • Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish (written and spoken).
