Lead Clinical Liaison for LATAM

Job Description

As a Medical Affairs Lead, you will be instrumental in driving the Global Emerging Markets Business Unit Franchise to achieve its goals. You will lead and direct activities that bring about changes in clinical practice, supporting the increased adoption of key Convatec brands, products, and services.

This role has a global remit but will focus on key markets and treatment venues. It requires setting up and maintaining strong networks internally and externally, focused on current and future clinical practice.

  • Drive the GEM Medical Affairs strategy in LATAM by driving robust KOL Management Strategy
  • Foster strong Key Opinion Leader (KOL) relationships - Identify and develop relationships with KOLs across LATAM, to build knowledge and advocacy for our strategic solutions
  • Facilitate KOL engagements in Med Affairs initiatives including key Advisory Boards, participate and present in key meetings

You will provide high-quality, clinical insight-driven medical and scientific expertise to support the development of content for advisory boards, scientific symposia, presentations, and publications.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Establishing and strengthening relationships with key opinion leaders, medical societies, and other relevant stakeholders
  • Developing a strategy outlining key evidence and publication requirements for LATAM
  • Contributing to scientific articles, abstracts, and outcomes-based presentations and publications to exemplify the services and products of the company
  • Clinical case compendiums for LATAM
  • Steering Medical Education & Training
  • Evidence Generation Strategy and Execution
  • Cross-functional Collaboration

You will collaborate with the Clinical Research Team/s to ensure proper conduct of LATAM based clinical trials and collaborate with the regulatory affairs team to ensure timely approvals and market access for wound care products.

A degree in nursing – Wound and Ostomy Care is preferred. Candidates having a MD / PhD in life sciences degree may be considered. Strong command in Spanish, Portuguese, and proficiency in English (speaking and written) is desirable.

Previous experience in the medical device, biotechnology, and tissue biologics of the healthcare industry is required. Comprehensive knowledge of the Wound, Ostomy, and/or Continence care therapeutic landscape, with a strong understanding of Latin American medical landscape is highly desirable.

You will have excellent negotiation skills for a wide variety of audiences, including sales and marketing leadership.
