Mechanical Quality Assurance Specialist

This role involves designing and implementing quality standards to ensure the production of trustworthy products.
Main Responsibilities:- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality requirements for mechanical components and assemblies
- Conduct thorough assessments of materials, ensuring they meet specified requirements and are free from defects
- Develop and implement quality control processes, including inspection plans, testing procedures, and relevant documentation
- Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for any quality issues identified during testing or production, and track these actions to closure
- Participate in design reviews to provide insights on potential quality concerns and ensure design for manufacturability and assembly (DFM and DFA)
- Conduct regular audits of manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards
- Collaborate with suppliers to improve component quality, resolve quality-related issues, and drive continuous improvement in the supply chain
- Work closely with the production team to support process validation and ensure consistency in manufacturing processes
- Maintain accurate records of quality assurance activities, including test results, inspection reports, and non-conformance documentation
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of quality documentation, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, and quality manuals
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Quality Engineer, preferably in a manufacturing or technology-driven environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead root cause analysis investigations
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems is beneficial
- Proficiency in reading and writing English
This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes. Experience with quality tools, methodologies, and documentation such as 8D, DMAIC, NCR, EA, and statistical process control is desirable.
