Assistant Accountant

This role entails providing administrative support to the accounting and property management teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and reports, as well as supporting tasks related to property management.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of basic accounting principles and property management processes. Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and accounts payable/receivable.
• Processing invoices, expense reports, and payment requests.
• Supporting the accounting team in preparing financial reports and analysis.
• Conducting regular audits of financial data to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintaining accurate tenant and property owner records, documenting all interactions and transactions.

Requirements:

• Certificate or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in property management, customer support, or accounting roles is advantageous.
• Proficiency in property management software, such as Appfolio, Buildium, Rent Manager or Rentec is a plus, accounting software, and MS, Google Office applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
