Senior Construction Professional

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Construction Professional to lead our data center construction projects. As a key team member, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction process, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently, effectively, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the construction process for new data center builds, including project scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Provide construction management services for specific initiatives aimed at increasing the resiliency of our data centers.
  • Review constructability of electrical and mechanical system designs associated with the construction of new data centers or optimization of existing data centers.
  • Create project scope and equipment requirements, assist with request for proposals, and capital requests.
  • Total project quality including assisting with commissioning and integrated system testing and oversight of the execution of the project.
  • Issue/Manage the Request for Information process during construction and coordinate construction administration with engineers.
  • Recording and reporting key metrics to team members and management.
  • Concurrently manage multiple projects including new data center building and capital improvement projects associated with existing data centers.
  • Operational support of installed facilities including review of procedures, best practices, and maintenance initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with experience in construction/program management for mission critical facilities or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in construction management or construction project management.
  • 7+ years of general contractor and vendor management experience (request for proposals, bidding, change orders, quality control, RFI/submittal tracking) associated with construction and project execution.
  • Familiarity with electrical engineering best practices including breaker coordination studies, switchgear sequence of operation.
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA and Brazilian equivalents.

  • International Experience directly managing construction projects from end to end.
  • Fluent in Spanish spoken and written.
  • Experience directly related to the design and construction of data centers.
  • Manufacturing experience and knowledge of lean principals.
