Energy Risk Specialist

We are seeking a Senior Energy Underwriter to lead our portfolio development in the Power & Utilities, Oil and Gas Downstream and Midstream, Petrochemicals and Mining sectors in Brazil.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for underwriting energy accounts, managing relationships with brokers and clients, and collaborating with internal stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:
- Growing the business by maintaining strong client and broker relationships.
- Analyzing coverage, exposures, wordings, premiums, and insurability of energy risks (oil & gas facilities, petrochemicals, pipelines, mines, power plants).
- Developing strategic relationships with brokers and clients to ensure proper documentation and grow the business.
- Coordinating cross-selling opportunities within Corporate Solutions.
- Participating in special projects and contributing to team operations.
- Ensuring thorough documentation and clear communication with clients and brokers.
About You:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in Property Energy Underwriting is required.
- You must have a deep understanding of the main exposures and specificities inherent in each segment of property energy, such as energy onshore, mining, and power and utilities.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex risks and make underwriting decisions are essential.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is necessary.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a willingness to assist others, are required.
- A highly motivated individual with an entrepreneurial mindset to turn customer needs into deals is desired.
