We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Counsel to join our team and provide legal services to the Corporation. The role involves providing day-to-day legal advice to senior leaders and their respective teams globally on commercial lending matters.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with external counsel and internal operations, business, controls, and legal teams to ensure operational feasibility considerations are addressed at all stages of the loan product life cycle.
- Participate as a legal advisor in cross-line of business projects for the firm's loan operations teams, including initiatives focused on data transformation, digitization, artificial intelligence/machine learning, and process improvement.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Prior experience with private equity or sponsor transactions, syndicated lending, secondary loan trading, real estate lending, specialty asset classes, and international transactions is preferred.
- A law degree. Attorney candidates must be in compliance with all relevant licensing requirements.
- Excellent communication skills; strong attention to detail and good team playing skills.
- Ability to manage projects and work independently.
