About the Role

BW Energy is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Superintendent to join our team in an offshore position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Manage and control the Maintenance Department to ensure safe and efficient functioning of all technical facilities.
  • Maintenance Functions: Responsible for all maintenance functions (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and telecommunication), operation, condition monitoring, and troubleshooting of relevant utility systems.
  • Technical Integrity: Responsible for the technical integrity of the hull, structure, tanks, topside vessels, and equipment, as well as sufficient bunker on board.
  • Modification Management: Manage and plan modifications under the management of change procedure.
  • Criticality Assessment: Perform criticality assessment of equipment and assign and review maintenance options.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with OIM and other Department Heads for planning maintenance and operation activities.
  • Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning: Responsible for pre-commissioning and commissioning during operation.
  • Policy and Procedure Review: Verify and review the Company's Policies and procedures through the Offshore Management Review.
  • Procedure Development: Develop and revise procedures and standing instructions for the Production Department.
  • Permit to Work System: Ensure the Permit To Work system is controlled and adhered to as per requirements of the system.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that regulatory and class requirements are adhered to.
  • Stock Control: Responsible for stock control of spare parts and consumables within the area of responsibility.
  • Hazardous Substances: Responsible for the control of hazardous substances that are used/stored within the Maintenance department.
  • Risk Assessment: Responsible for the relevant Risk Assessments.
  • Accident Investigation: Participate in the investigation of accidents and incidents.
  • Reporting: Administrate Company reporting System report.
  • Vendor and Contractor Management: Liaise closely with onshore management, TMS, and HSSEQ.
  • Computerized Maintenance Management System: Responsible for the Computerized Maintenance Management System. Unit Computerised Maintenance Management System Administrator.
  • Vendor and Contractor Safety: Responsible that vendors and contractors are managed safely and effectively.
  • Vendor and Contractor Equipment: Responsible for checking of vendors and contractors equipment condition and certificates.
  • Training and Development: Undertake training relevant to the position requirements.
  • Subordinate Training: Responsible for the training of subordinates and trainees.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
  • Long Relevant Experience: Long relevant experience may compensate for formal education.
Experience
  • Engineer Experience: Ideally seven years' experience as engineer in the Oil and Gas industry with at least two years in the supervisory position.
  • FPSO or Offshore Platform Experience: Preferably FPSO or offshore platform experience.
  • Multicultural Environment: Preferably previous experience from working in a multicultural environment.
Interpersonal Skills
