Key Responsibilities:
  • Social Media Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy for our platforms (Instagram, X, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and emerging platforms), tailored to the sports we cover (NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB).
  • Content Planning and Creation: Collaborate with the editorial and design teams to plan, create, and publish high-quality, engaging content, including text, images, videos, infographics, and live updates. Focus on game coverage, breaking news, player interviews, and trends in the sports world.
  • Community Engagement: Actively engage with followers, respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Foster a positive community environment and cultivate relationships with fans, athletes, and influencers within the sports world.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Track and analyse key performance metrics, such as engagement rates, follower growth, impressions, and audience sentiment. Provide regular reports on social media performance and suggest improvements based on data.
  • Trend Identification: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in social media, sports media, and fan engagement. Identify opportunities to leverage popular content formats, hashtags, and conversations to maximise reach and relevance.
  • Live Event Coverage: Manage live social media coverage for major sporting events, games, and breaking news. Ensure timely updates and real-time engagement during live broadcasts and games.
