Lead Engineering Support Professional
Job Summary
The Global Engineering and Technology Center is seeking a skilled Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for the engineering support of Power and Controls products manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and experience in managing programs or parts of a program.
Key Responsibilities
This role requires a hands-on leader with strong communication skills to align organizational strategy with operations priorities. Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex issues and enhance equipment uptime.
- Establishing and standardizing engineering processes, documentation, and best practices.
- Ensuring team alignment with business goals and customer requirements.
- Leading the implementation of manufacturing initiatives and Industry technologies to enhance productivity and data visibility.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess the following skills and qualifications:
- A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
- Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Experience in managing programs or parts of a program including successfully managing small groups of engineers under technical guidance.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include experience in a manufacturing environment, electronic and mechanical designs, root cause analysis and corrective actions, reading and understanding assembly drawings, circuit card schematics, and assembly instructions, familiarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques, and project engineering experience.
